I've owned this leash for 5 years and it has been the only leash I use with my 95lb dog. This is probably the best leash I've ever used. The leather is good quality and is still in great shape, I do clean and condition it at least once a year. Would highly recommend to anyone, even at the current price which is twice what I paid.Seller was Jpettie, can't comment on new seller.We have "Marley" on steroids. Awesome in the house, but open the door and he's like an 8 yr kid on the first day of summer....pure joy! Makes me so happy to see (he's a rescue failure)! Anyhow, he's a solid 77 lbs, extremely strong, I've clocked him at 25 mph chasing him down the dark deserted road (with a flashing green collar on). Any how, first walk today on leash and it was perfect. Four stars for comfort only because I can see one minor addition to make it 110% perfect. (who ever owns this design, contact me :) )This leather wonder is exactly what I was looking for. This has a setting for every occasion. If I want to shop hands free then I can throw this over my should and enjoy the pleasure of not fondling a poopy bag that’s always attached. Forget that collar at home? No problem here! Just put the connect to the loose ring and you’re able to double this as slip collar. My dogs is a fifty pound beaut. He also loves this leash. He feels like a boss. He can sniff all the behinds and decorative pillows he wants without Mom being over bearing. It’s also very sturdy and interchangeable when it comes to using it as a regular leash. I enjoy the solid gold and plus my dog looks stylish as heck. Love to flash this at the local dog park. Ain’t no doubt who loves their dog best with this beast.My dog is a 68lb slow moving tank, she's 7 and she loves to take her sweet time. However, when it comes to her business trip she will go back and forth as if she seriously cannot figure out where to drop the deuce and then go past the length of her indecisiveness to drop it. So with the length of this awesome leash I can just stand there and let her pace as long as she needs to. I love that this leash is easy to use, she seems happier (???) to roam a little more. There's a spot for her poop bag holder, and i can just easily adjust the length as needed. Awesome buy, happy customer!This is great- except my dog thinks as it’s leather it’s for him to chew otherwise it’s made well and I really like it. I won’t be able to use it until he grows into an adult doggy and can recognize that it’s his leash not the most yummy toy on earthLove the leash exactly what I was looking for but after a week the stitching has started to come apart everywhere. Now I can’t use it for fear of it coming apart when out in publicI just ordered this a second time even after having it for only a few weeks. Why? Great question. I need to replace the first collar as it saved my 90 pound German Shepherd Dog from injury. My dog tangled with a very large raccoon last night and the raccoon tried to bite my dogs neck and got collar instead. The raccoon bit through one of the woven leather straps and could not get to the dogs neck. The collar is well made and strong enough to withstand a raccoon attack. The only thing I would like to see is a collar about 1-2 inches larger but, this will work for most large dogs. Just be sure to measure your dogs neck to make a good fit.This replaced one I had the only reason it is a 4 is my old one had a loop that I did not need to create myself with the metal clasp.
