I had longed for a metal crate alternative for our Great Pyrenees - for a dog that can push 130 lb most of the attractive dog crates don’t make her size. I came across this crate in online reviews and decided to purchase through Amazon, same price as directly through seller with the security of an Amazon purchase. I was nervous to spend $600 on a dog bed. When product first arrived the carrier had smashed it (not seller’s fault). Seller promptly sent a new bed that arrived within 3 days with no hassle, which was great. Now on to the assembly… OH. MY. GAWD. It took over an hour to put this together. PDF instructions aren’t great (video might be better but I didn’t use this, maybe we should have). You absolutely MUST use an electric drill. Must. The plywood is super cheap feeling as others have said. For all of the work it took to put this together and the poor quality of the wood, this should be half the price. If it was better wood than it would be worth it.Finished product feels nice - please review dimensions and make sure it will fit in your space. Obviously we got the ginormous size and it is HUGE, larger than our Midwest crate. Our girl is 120 lb and curled up as you see she takes over just half of it. It’s roomier for sure for her. This is day 1, I have no idea how long it will last. I am keeping her old crate because I can see this thing falling apart quickly and I will update if that happens. It is super cute, she has a little sign, and it feels like a house and not a crate so I am happy with that, and the good customer service when the carrier damaged the first one. I’m not happy with the poor quality/cheap feel of the wood (it is plywood after all), how hard it was to put together and overall the value of the product. On the fence about durability. I’m a little worried that our polar bear will get a little hot in there, there’s not a ton of ventilation since it’s closed on top.Note, our girl likes her “house” and doesn’t try to escape. We only keep her in it for 1-2 hours a day at mealtime since she can’t stay off kitchen counters and she enjoys her kibble (and we our food) in peace. If you have an escape artist DO. NOT. BUY. the little door is almost so delicate as to be decorative. If you have a chewer or a dog who hates their crate, this is not for you. This company sells beautiful, quality products! I am simply amazed at how beautiful and well designed my dog crate is! On top of their amazing quality, the customer service is outstanding! If you are looking for quality and beauty for your fur baby, look no further! Thank you so much WLO!
