When I looked for an orthopedic memory foam bed for my aging dog, this is NOT what I expected.Pros- it fits perfectly in her kennel which is great.Cons-It is not memory foam at all. It is very firm material (uncomfortable)The outer fabric is not removable/cannot be washedI do not recommend this is you have a pet with aching joints. They won’t sleep on it for long.my 14 year old westie took to this and he has previously never liked dog beds. He now prefrs it to all locations except the mattress in his crate. I am very pleased with this item.This is Odin my eight year old GSD. Picture speaks for itself. The bed is even better than I thought.My dog likes to nest in his bed. His old pillows that he has had for years have stood up to it without tearing but were getting threadbare and crushed down. I wanted to get a thick pillow that also appeared durable. This wasn't it. We received the bed on 14 Jul. Within 2 weeks it had holes. Again, he's not a chewer, but he likes to scratch before settling. Other beds have been fine for years. This one tore like paper.The good: It's thick and keeps my aging dogs off the floor. Good, thick mat that I don't think will crush over time. Not sure if I am going to return or try to put a different cover on it for that reason.BLUF: Good mattress, fragile coverWe have this bed inside of our dog crate and my 65 lb black lab loves it! I’m wondering if the vendor sells replacement covers for this bed, because our cover is starting to wear in parts from washing it often, but the mattress itself is still in great conditionMy 3 year old Yorkie feels and looks like a King lying on his new bed.We love the fact that is is orthopedic and takes any form and shape.Quality is excellent and the fact that you can wash the cover any time you need is a huge PlusMy order arrived very promptly and we were not disappointed in our anticipation.I love this product. It is very comfortable for my pet. He had knee surgery and I can feel confident that this will give him soft comfort.My dog is 13 years old and he has arthritis its easy for him to get up .. It’s very comfortable for him even my cats like to take naps
