We can't keep our lab out of the water and in the California summers, the pool deck gets very hot. These booties are a lifesaver for his paws and he can go in and out of the pool easily. Love the bright orange color, too. Takes a bit to get the tightness figured out... loose enough to not hurt, but tight enough not to spin around. If too loose, the boot will spin and he'll be walking on the material instead of the rubber. That causes the material to wear quickly. Easy to adjust with the velcro fasteners. Please with the purchase. We used these boots for a trip at the Grand Canyon to keep paws off the hot pavement. They strapped on easily and looked to be comfortable, but did require some adjustments (could be user error). The major downside to these is that they are not breathable (dogs sweat through their paws). Most likely best for cooler weather as opposed to heat.My dog has a neurological problem and drags his paw and walks on the top part of his foot (very painful to watch) they help keep it protectedI’m actually using the boot to cover my fosters paw that has a cast on it. The boot covers the paw and part of the cast that cannot get wet. The bottom of the boot is actually very good quality, it does the job I need it to do. It’s water resistant not water proof. I’m very happy work the product, plus the double Velcro ensures a tight fit.Got these for my 35 lb mini aussie for the summer! Took some chicken and time but now he loves his little shoes especially when the pavement is hot outside. They are super easy to put on because of their velcro straps! Remember to measure your dogs paws, we tried putting them on my older sisters dog who is a bit smaller and they would not stay on.As they said she high stepped at first. Each day did better walking 3rd day walking normal on pavement, steps, sand back yardOrdered the size it recommended for my pit and they didn't fit good plus they slip off easy. She did not like them at all. They do look nice and made very well though, just not for my dogs.
