When it starts getting 40* or lower or is is raining and we need to go for a quick potty walk, this is the jacket I throw on my girl. The added bonus is the light at the tail-end of the jacket which I like to turn on at night if we're walking down roads just to make sure others see her. I just wish there was a tiny version of this for my other pup (4# chi).Great Jacket!Not quite thick enough on the inside. Could be warmer for the price. She got cold pretty easily. It fits well though and I like the added light for visibility. That's a nice touch. But I wish it had MUCH more coverage. I have a hurtta extreme warmer for my grown dog. Paid more for it, but it covers his neck, ears, belly and back. Compared to that, this has minimal coverage. But I also wasn't going to spend much on a coat for a growing puppy that would not fit her next year. So I got this. Definitely would NOT be my first choice for a grown dog, but for a puppy that grows by the minute, it'll work in a pinch. I gave it 3 stars because the parts that were there seemed okay, but there just wasn't enough to it. Needs a longer neck portion and longer back portion. Definitely not enough for a dog who gets cold, because it is not that thick and there is not much coverage. Will have to supplement this coat with a snood and something to cover her hiney a little better. If I hadn't got an amazon warehouse deal on this....if I had paid $40, I'd be giving it 2 stars and would be pretty livid. But with the deal i got on it, I can't complain too much. I could maybe see dropping $40 on the large size for a fall coat....not winter....not warm enough....but I definitely would not pay that for the small....forget about it. It seems to me this would be best for dogs with thick fur already who don't get that cold, or for a waterproof layer to protect the thick fur from getting wet. But for my dogs with almost no fur, it is not enough for the winter. I will definitely be buying her a hurtta extreme next year, when she's her permanent size!This rain jacket is just what I was looking for. Easy to wear and to adjust around the waist. It has enough space to fit the harness allowing the dog to walk freely. Nice zip on top for the harness latch. True to size. I chose a SM for mine and it fit perfectly. Nice fleece fabric to keep the body warm, but I live in SoCal so I don't think this will work in places where it is really cold or where it snows. Waterproof material on the top. Night light is a hoot! Not sure how long the battery life will last. Easy to clean. This is not a stretch material.Great for wearing in the rain or snow. If the weather is very, very cold, the dog can wear a sweater under this jacket.great product for our new family member, only update would be to increase size of clips to make it easier to attachNice enough jacket, not the thickest but if your dog is active it's fine. Real issue I have is the size chart, I measured the neck and chest and had room to spare for a size small but the neck is a little tight putting it over my pups head and this jacket is not long enough but it says on the sizing chart length is not the most important but it would be nice to have a little more butt coverage. Light on rear is nice but it constantly just randomly shuts off and is not super visible or bright.I purchased this for my 18 pound labradoodle. According to the instructions on size, she should be a small. The small arrived and it was too small and far too short for her length. I then ordered a medium and it was swimming on her. I have a feeling that the small I received was missed marked but not sure. I’d like to order it again, but I need to know the right sizing.I returned this once because the light did not work properly, the replacement had the same issue. Decide that the light was not the most important part for me and moved on. Would have been nice if the light worked.Perfect fit. Keeps my baby dry.
