My little fur baby has severe skin allergies in the springtime. She scratches herself until she is bleeding and gets bald spots. So sad to see. She is a 15 pound “designer dog” (rescue) that has a wiener dog frame - short legs and a long body that is hard to find clothes for. I put clothes on her to protect her skin and have to bathe her frequently during her allergy time. This outfit has been an important part of her healing, as the legs are long on her (almost or the floor) which is what she needs, and the opening for her belly is perfect for her outside business to not get on the outfit. The outfit keeps her warm after her frequent baths, and is so much better than the polyester outfits that don’t “air out” well and seem to cause her skin outbreaks to fester. I think she (secretly) likes the outfit on because she feels comforted with it on, and it certainly keeps her from tearing up her skin.I have purchased 3 of these outfits, since I have to rotate and wash them frequently. They have held up very well. The stretchy fabric makes them easy to put on, and no snaps (hard to do when she wiggles)! The only issue I have is she is a smarty pants and can wriggle her paws out of the outfit. Sometimes it is her back paws, and she looks like she has six legs! Other times she works her front paws out one at a time. Only once has she completely removed the outfit, and I think that was her way of saying, “I’m better, and I don’t need this any more!” Her skin is now healing, and her fur is growing back… and we did it without having to take those expensive allergy pills!
